Divisa, Chapter 0: The Beta Empty
PostSubject: Divisa, Chapter 0: The Beta   Divisa, Chapter 0: The Beta I_icon_minitimeTue 10 Apr 2012, 7:29 pm

As the smell of fresh cinnamon, ironed clothes, shined Power Armor, and Steam, lots and lots of Steam, filled the air, a man woke up in his luxuriously made bed. The man slowly sat up, his face in a grimace, and casted his weary gaze about the room. Standing up, placing his feet upon the hard, marble floor, he stretched his tired arms and let out a sigh.

Without any warning, the man proceeded to yelp and separate the blankets from the bed quite quickly, and hopped onto the bed in a fetal position, covering himself with the sheet and whimpering like a frightened dog.

What shall be this guy’s name?

>Jacob Overture

Jacob Overture. Now THAT'S a name.

Overture slowly crawled forth from his sheets, relieved that he remembered exactly who he was. Slowly, placing his foot upon the marble floor, Overture slowly moved over to the window, staring at the glass wall separating his room and the outside world.

He wasn't looking OUT the window. He was just looking AT the window. The polished glass, smelling strongly of lime, surrounded by a pane of shined, smoothed wood... it was beautiful in its design.

What shall Mister Overture do with this window?

Scratch it and lick it, try to figure out what kind of sand it was made from.

>Scratch it and lick it, try to figure out what kind of sand it was made from.

Hmm... It must be made of- all your focus suddenly melts as you feel the smooth, silky texture against your tounge and the fierce smell of lime-based window cleaner fill your nostrils. This is one delicious window.

>Press face against beautiful window in hopes of frightening passersby

You do so.

Unfortunately, you've seemed to forgotten your own strength, and your appreciation of the window.

Accidentally crashing through the window, you proceed to plummet to the Earth below. However, before gravity can make you a smear upon the ground, you proceed to land upon an exceptionally soft cushion of sorts. Before you can go back to bed, however, you then proceed to hear a voice coming from behind.

“Emperor Robalem!” Cried the voice, the sound of feet dashing towards you, “Did you jump through the window again?”

Quickly scrambling to your feet, you see a sharped-dressed man quickly running towards with a bloodied towel. Squinting your eyes at the strange man, you wonder just what the heck was going on. “Emperor… Robalem? Uhh… I think you have the wrong person… my name is Jacob Overture.”

As the man scooped up the glass shards and blood (surprisingly, you weren’t too wounded from the fall and glass shards), he slowly turned his gaze towards you, confused, before silently chuckling to himself. While he definitely had fear on his face, anyone could see that it looked as though he suspected just this. As though rehearsed, the man threw the towel over his shoulder, and proceeded to pull out an ID of sorts, depicting your face.

“You are Emperor Poe Robalem, ruler of the Empire of the Human Race. Now, isn’t being the leader of your fellow man a bit more dignified than being this ‘Jacob Overture’?”

You cross your arms in a bit of a pout, remembering who you are. “Fine, fine. But Jacob Overture still sounds way cooler.”

The man shook his head, still with a smile on his face. “Perhaps. How about you come inside and get dressed and out of your pajamas, and be regarded as the coolest man within the entire empire? You have somewhere to be today, so you can wear your favorite ceremonial caaaaape~” He cooed in a tempting manner.

Instantly remembering your favorite cape, a piece of your garb that you consider to be your most memorable part of your stature, you quickly squee with joy and rush inside the mansion through a door.

~

As you slide around a corner, turning to face the first steps of a beautiful case of marble stairs, your nose quickly tuned into the fierce smell of cinnamon emanating from the kitchen. As you stand in your pajamas at the base of the stairs, you quickly realize that you are really hungry. What shall you do?
