A simple bit of genetic code, made to do one thing. Multiply. The first affected were the scientists working in the lab. They were fine for forty-eight hours. Then it began. It spread like wildfire through the compound. The place soon descended into anarchy, paranoid survivors burning and killing. That helped it spread. But now BRBT is locked down by its biggest contractor: the US Government. But the project could still be salvaged. Public awareness has not spread. But the job has fallen into the hands of hazmat special ops squad 4, alias "Cleansing Flame." Will they make it in time?

"Safe" zones: Some areas have systems in place to clear them of or keep them free of infection. These points are VERY important due to the limited time of use on each oxygen tank. If you try to change tanks outside, well, just don't count on coming home.

Well, the branch of military section could easily be filled out as spec. ops (which is affiliated with the government[or military]), and the job of each member is by little means diverse, since they should all be trained similarly. That is easily overlooked considered how some members take certain leads at different times. Besides that, I guess it's all about your weapon choice. Even then it isn't that diverse since a lot of them have the same weapons. So only about one person would be having a sniper (and in close quarter territory such as a building, snipers are obsolete). So I'd imagine in a place like this they'd just have machine guns, a shotgun on their back. A pistol as a sidearm, and maybe very few demolition tools.

Does the oxygen and "Clean area" implement seem too strict? Because they're also gonna get nuked if they're there after 48 hours.

Well no. This is a highly contaminated zone, right? You by no means want to breathe in the air there. And if they can't get the job done, what else is there to do besides pressing that big red shiny button? The button lied to me once. It said free doughnuts.

Cleansing Flame is Military affiliated. BRBT affiliates would have the expected consumer and improvised weapons, but no military gear.
