The Homestuck Reaction Thread - *Spoilers!*

Okay, there is something most of us can pretty much agree on: well over half the entire forum here reads Homestuck. It provides one of the biggest topics of discussion in the chat, and it is a popular subject for a few Roleplays on this very site.

One of the biggest points of discussion concerning the comic is commenting on its many updates. Whether to provide insight and elaborate guesses on the recent events that transpired, or just to post the speed our jaws hit the floor obtained, it is one of its fandom's biggest past times.

Well, using only the Chat as a means of commentating can be a double edged sword. It is quite easy to access, but at the same time you might post an incredibly detailed theory concerning the updated, only to have it lost beyond the Archives.

So, we have this: an official thread to record your reactions to the updates. Feel free to use it to your discretion.

Rules & Preferences
- Check for an update before reading the reactions. Putting things into perspective is one of the points of elaborate reactions, so spoilers should be expected.
- If you want to join in on the discussion but don't know what the heck Homestuck is, then there is but one requirement: read the comic, the beginning of which is linked at the top of the page.

A bit of a reaction to some meta-content: I'm glad to see that SBARG is getting more and more popular! I probably won't be joining, seeing that it looks like a ton of work and I live in location where I'm the only person whose heard of Homestuck for miles. However, I wish everyone the best of luck.

Also, it seems there are quite a few people on Tumblr who are getting Lord of Time. I suppose this just goes to show that EVERYONE IS LORD ENGLISH /memes

In the beginning he was.

But he was also the Watson, if I recall my tropes correctly, so it's permissible.

He's not stupid, he just messes stuff up and enjoys messing around. One of the side effects of his amazing hammer is it spawns silly hats. I don't think we can NOT joke about him being a silly character.

I'm honestly kind of disappointed by that. I was hoping it would have amazerific side effects.

It seemed to, we just rolled past them all and ended up with the hat instead.

most of the others looked equally ridiculous, and the one or two that might actually be combat applicable was rather silly, to the point I expected a stern British officer in a tutu to stop the program.

Is it me, or is the use of Fields of Horses starting to become more and more prominent? Outside of comic, Hussie is known for his weird infatuation with horses. It started with HB getting clocked into a calendar with horses as a theme, then Vriska got sent into a dreambubble with this as the main backdrop.

Seems like a coincidence, but it started to get pretty suspicious when, during their confrontation, Hussie mentioned the irony to LE about the latter's death in front of a Field of Horses. And now John is entering this land of horses.

String of coincidences and jokes, or subtle foreshadowing?

It also happens to be where Vriska is.

And then Tavros and John fought for the ring until they were out...
