There was an add music button for April Fool's day on Youtube. Clicking would play a second or so of Sandstorm.

It's a good thing I barely remember my early OCs. Even my current ideas tend to head towards spotlight stealing.

I'm pretty sure one of my earliest OC's was some dorky shapeshifter kid who whined a lot and had some "great destiny" ahead of him, in that uh... World of Dreams RP, or whatever? And the Werewolves vs Vampires, I had the asshole smart guy vampire who masked his scent in the foulest concoction he could get his hands on (chocolate Axe), a massive and level-headed werewolf who... Shrugged off most physical damage... And a hunter who was originally designed to be terrifying, but no one went for the bait, so I just played him off as, well, another incredibly dorky guy. Who neeeeeeeeever accomplished anything.

... And then I vanished for a while, and brought all three of the WvV characters back as buddies. Because I DUNNO.

I remember World of Dreams. That was my most confusing and terrible character idea ever.

This is something everybody needs to experience.

Depends what RP. So long as at least one survives, then the site is still going... though I'd rather not either die.

Yeah, what I don't want to do is take time from Earthheart with this, cause we've all worked really hard on it! This would be more of a sandboxy RP :P

A king's court in a Renaissance era England where we are all Machiavellian nobles vying for control of the throne through whatever means whether it is assassination, bureaucracy, wealth, politics - however which way you want to do it. When one person wins the throne, anyone can wrest control of it in this endless cycle of trying to win and maintain it. It's like Game of Thrones that way. If you win the throne, you can run the country/kingdom however you want. Very sandboxy. In fact, if I were to run it, I'd probably call it "Sand Castle".

Then do it Patches. I don't see why having two RP's would be bad. As Eo said. It would be almost beneficial to have two.

I wonder if it'd almost be better to reduce the whole thing to a forum game - each poster topples the previous in a semi-novel manner. Then quickly describes the consequences to the country, and what they foresee the length of their reign to be. (Premature falls from power being more amusing.)

Relatives, co-conspirators, etcetera - all generated on the fly. Eventually, they should form a cast pool from which anyone can draw. Well, until the next mad king and/or revolution kills off the bulk of them.

Blast, at this rate I'm going to owe three OPs. (Reverse-timeline RP needs to have the thematic hooks we established integrated in, if it's even still relevant. I also want to run an evolution game where the environment is under player control, and biotic communities actually... adapt... in response, but won't have time for another month or two.)

Well, it'd definitely be more like a game than a roleplay, but still has the bulk and whatnot of a roleplay, so it wouldn't be the traditional fast-paced forum games we're familiar with. It'd be something of a hybrid. There'd likely be lots of complicated plotting involved in getting the throne and maintaining the throne, which I'm sure Ji would love.

It would, at least sound like to me, involve people having to make alliances, or temporary alliances and backstabs later, as the throne goes back and forth. I have honestly thought about a roleplay/forum game like this for quite some time, but was never sure how to put it forth, as well as having the time to do it.

I would totes join myself.

Sorry about my dwindling activity, guys. My step-grandmother had gone to the hospital and we found out that she has stage 4 cancer. So, yeah. I guess I don't really have to explain more than that.
